Clipmarks | Vietnam ClipsYour Tax Dollars at War: More Than 53% of Your Tax Payment Goes to the Militaryclipped by: papananookclippers remarks: SO obscene. If youre like me, now that were in the week that federal income taxes are due, you are finally starting to collect your records and prepare for the ordeal. Either way, whether you are a procrastinator like me, or have already finished and know how much you have paid to the government, it is a good time to stop and consider how much of your money goes to pay for our bloated and largely useless and pointless military. The budget for the 2011 fiscal year, which has to be voted by Congress by this Oct. 1, looks to be about $3 trillion, not counting the funds collected for Social Security (since the Vietnam War, the government has included the Social Security Trust Fund in the budget as a way to make the cost of Americas imperial military adventures seem smaller in comparison to the total cost of government). Meanwhile, the military share of the budget works out to about $1.6 trillion. Military spending in all its myriad forms works out to represent 53.3% of total US federal spending. More Treason on the Way From New York Timesclipped by: Antaraclippers remarks: "Pinch was a political activist in the Sixties, and was twice arrested in anti-Vietnam protests. One day, the elder Sulzberger asked his son what Pinch calls, "the dumbest question Ive ever heard in my life." If an American soldier runs into a North Vietnamese soldier, which would you like to see get shot? Young Arthur answered, "I would want to see the American get shot. Its the other guys country." Some Sixties activists have since thought better of their early enthusiasms. Pinch hasnt." Just because there is no longer a Republican in the White House is no reason the vermin running the New York Times have to stop engaging in treason. A warning from Big Governments Brad Thor: I have just received word that the New York Times is preparing to go public with a list of names of Americans covertly working in Afghanistan providing force protection for our troops, as well as the rest of our Coalition Forces. If the Times actually sees this through, the red ink they are drowning in will be nothing compared to the blood their entire organization will be covered with. Make no mistake, the Times is about to cause casualty rates in Afghanistan to skyrocket. This is consistent with the past policy of this vile publication. Heres a glimpse of the festering pustule that serves its publisher Pinch Sulzberger for a mind: The Slimes has participated in the deaths of American troops before. The blood isnt only on its own hands, but on the hands of its readers as well. ![]() The 20 Worst Superheroesclipped by: jen1979![]() The Red Bee Criminals are a superstitious, cowardly lot.
